Type "DS" lift trucks are used in related applications to Type "GS", Type "LPS" and Type "EE" electric trucks. Type "DY" lift trucks are diesel fueled and meet all the requirements of Type "DS" trucks and also do not have whichever electrical machines installed. These utilize air starters and comprise provisions for regulating the temperature of truck components. These type lift trucks are utilized in similar application to the Type "EE" electric trucks.
